Control, compliance and structure — built on Microsoft 365
ShareControl develops solutions for financial control, contract management and compliance that live within your organisation’s own Microsoft 365 platform. Since 2014, we have helped companies ranging from mid-sized businesses to listed corporations gain visibility, traceability and control over financial obligations, agreements and compliance — without moving sensitive data outside the Microsoft environment they already trust.
Our history
ShareControl was established in 2014 with solutions for document and contract management for the business market, built on Microsoft’s cloud platform Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
We were among the first in Norway to develop standardised business solutions on Microsoft’s cloud platform, and in 2015 we became the first Norwegian IT company to launch a business application in the Microsoft App Store.
In the years that followed, we expanded our portfolio to cover IFRS 16, contract management, the Norwegian Transparency Act, document management and board administration. In spring 2019 we established a presence in Stockholm to be closer to the Swedish market, and today we deliver solutions to customers across multiple countries and industries.

What we do
ShareControl brings critical control processes together in one Microsoft-based platform, enabling finance, procurement, compliance and leadership to manage obligations, agreements and documentation in one place.
All our solutions are installed in the customer’s own Microsoft 365 environment and inherit the security, access controls and audit trail the organisation already has in place.

Our Approach
We build solutions directly in Microsoft 365 — in SharePoint, which is already part of your organisation’s IT infrastructure. That means data never leaves the customer’s own environment, and no integration with an external platform is required to get started.
Microsoft-native
Our solutions are built on Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Power Platform. This means organisations can build on their existing identity, security and skills rather than introducing yet another standalone system.
Security and data sovereignty
Data remains in the customer’s own Microsoft 365 environment — not with us or a third party. The solutions inherit Microsoft’s security and access model, and require no new data processing agreement beyond what the customer already has in place with Microsoft.
Grounded in professional expertise
Our solutions are developed in collaboration with auditors and legal professionals, ensuring they meet the requirements for accounting, compliance and audit readiness in practice — not just on paper.

Ragnar is the founder and CEO of ShareControl. He has over 35 years of experience from senior positions in national and international enterprises, consulting and IT, with a background from KPMG and EY. Since 2014 he has led the development of ShareControl and its products.
